South Cotswold Soaring Association: Rodborough

Rodborough Common:
for ENE - SE winds; full of rare species of flora and fauna, also the dreaded Cock Chafer beatle.
The East facing slope is very poor for model flying and can be a bit bumpy when the wind is getting a North of East. If the wind is light it is a nice slope with plenty of thermal activity from the valley below, you need to get past the trees to get into the lift, it is not for the faint hearted.
Malvern is a better slope for an east wind The South East facing bowl can be very smooth if the wind is coming down the valley
