My Taranis TX

better audio files are available for the Taranis

http://openrcforums.com/taranis/soundpacks/english-english-taranis.zip

and http://85.18.253.250/voices/opentx-taranis/en/

or convert your own with this converter http://rcsettings.com/voice/

With the small speaker it may be worth clipping the speech by removing the bass that the speaker cannot produce
Most power should be between 400 and 4k cycles as used in radio communication, female voices can be better

The flexibility of OpenTX used on the Taranis has solved one problem: the control of aileron differential when crow braking is used

Andy has worked out a mix.

  1. A high channel uses the throttle as a  source

  2. A curve controls the amounts

  3. A function inputs this to a  global variable

  4. The global variable is used as the value of the differential for the ailerons.

If you need help ask on one of the forums

 Esoaring

The Aldershot Model Club are hosted an OPEN & 2 Metre BMFA e-Soaring Height Limited League event at East Worldham, Hampshire on Sunday 22nd September 2013.

I got lost on the way there but it only added 10 minutes to the journey

I was greeted by a friendly " I'm going to kick your ass!!" from Andy Clarke - we were on first, Andy landed over a minute early and I flew the slot out .By Lunch time Andy was in the lead and smiling.
Andy had another poor slot in the afternoon and finished well down.

I was beaten by the more experienced Chris Foss and Terry who flew well

Frocester was challenging again today. Just as I was enjoying the SW wind it shifted to SSW and made landing my mini ferret very awkward. So awkward that it came to rest in a tree in the middle of the herb garden. I had to be very careful not to damage any plants as I retrieved the model.

As I was occupied in the herb garden Sparky Ben and Eyeboy Andy turned up. They immediately set about exploring the shrubberies for possible safe landing zones, none found.

Although the wind was quite strong it didn't produce very consistent lift. Made for some interesting aerobatics and exciting landings.
