News

Graupner has a new owner

 http://www.graupner.de/en/newsdetail/0d57a0df-e859-4fb4-8177-6209865d4a03

·         The business activities of the modelling company – rich in tradition- can go on in future

·         The development of the well-known R/C system HoTT continues and the product range is limited

·         The company`s location in Kirchheim/Teck can be retained

·         The coustomer service for products, already sold, can be assured, too

Kirchheim unter Teck, 4th March 2013 - Founded 83 years ago, the modelling company Graupner has a new owner now. The previous principal supplier of the successful R/C system HoTT, also supplying other R/C electronics and charging technology, has now taken over the company after preceding insolvendy.

The official business transfer to the newly established company Graupner/SJ will be to 1st March 2013. The former company Graupner GmbH & Co.KG had several changes in the management in the past and although the company had full order books, they were forced to file for insolvency on 14th December 2012.

The company’s location in Kirchheim/Teck and the continuation of the R/C system HoTT is granted. The product range will be continued in a limited extent. Job maintenance  in Kirchheim/Teck could not be guaranteed and the product range will be adapted for being competitive. The production facility could not be continued at the site in Kirchheim.

Photos updated http://www.glos-mfc.co.uk/malvern/photos.htm

I have had problems with the picture viewer, I have now linked it to a style sheet, so that the images are not repeated and displayed centre and top, but I will need to edit all 50 pages.

The viewer should preload the next 6 images so there is no delay as you click through

To download the main image right click and 'save background as '
to save images in the RH column right click  and 'save image as'

The frame work is there with a few of my photos, I now need some photos to fill it,  I know I have a bottle of wine in my hand in many of the away photos,  but I am not a heavy drinker

Slope soaring

Monday

Tuesday

I flew at the GMFC, some very strong lift but a little more wind than I like

A Chinook flew past

Thursday

Well what a turn out for a Thursday! Four visitors from Birmingham + Guy, Phil, Richard and Tony.

We all enjoyed some great lift in the sunshine.

Photos: Guy's Gulp and a Brum M60

Friday

Pete was on the small slope at Haresfield when I arrived so I stayed on that slope too. He flew his M60 and weasel. I had my Fusion, mini-ferret and the experimental Flitza.

I had to watch as Pete beat up the slope with his M60. The grass whipped the underside of the model as he flew it across the slope just below our feet, then pulling up and turning out inches from the trees, Pete crying out ,"Ooh! That was close." then swinging it back across the slope in the opposite direction, repeat at the other end. He makes it sound like a panic reaction, I suspect it was some very precise flying, especially as he did it so often. Great fun to watch.

After that I got down to some relatively tame flying with my Fusion and Mini-Ferret. The Flitza flew well for a while, til I started over doing the controls and it put itself down in some brambles.

Saturday

A windy day at the GMFC , I flew my Shadow which liked the wind, I did not

Photos: Dave's, Kev's model and some gulls, could be Slender-billed and black headed,  don't know if they were fighting or trying to mate

Slope

It was absolutely booming on Frocester: good, strong reliable slope lift boosted by thermals.  I had a good hour belting my Bluto around, all on my own except for the picnickers and various spectators asking all the usual questions.

Wasn't it a bit too westerly for Haresfield Andy?
