Computer nerd bit

it seems anti virus software does not always work, I ran the piece of Malware a  I found on the SCSA web site through 32 anti virus software programs, only 12 spotted it

This piece of of blacole Malware can only work if you have missed security updates, it takes advantage of vulnerabilities like: Adobe Flash Player Unspecified Memory Corruption Vulnerability

Malvern SA News

Sunday's Thermal comp was cancelled - field is a bit wet

Limbo comp 1/07/12

Wind conditions on the day was WSW and 12mph upwards and blustery.

Rules for the comp consisted of a max 3min flight and as many passes under the pole as possible. If the competitor destroyed the limbo poles (as S Pearse did) during his flight then the clock didn't stop and everybody mucked in to re-erect the limbo poles asap and keep the down time to as short as possible.

Three rounds flown and everybody managed at least one pass under the poles. Max number of passes was by S Hannon with 12.

The results were:

Position Name Points
1st Steve Hannon 100
2nd John Freeman  90
3rd Phil Hayward  80
4th Geoff Carter  70
5th Steve Pearse  65

Some Events

Saturday 1st MSA OPEN E-SOARING CONTEST Upton − Fish Meadow

Rules for the competition consist of the competitors flying in 10 minute slots. Launching on the sound of an audible signal and landing as near to possible to the completion of 10 minutes with a spot landing. Landings achieve 50 points for model completely within the circle and 25 points for part of the model in the circle. If the model overflys the 10mins then the landing bonus is lost and time is deducted for every sec over the 10min slot time.

Flight time commences on starting the motor with a max motor run of 30secs or reaching height of 150metres. Any type of height limiter acceptable providing it can be set to 150m plus max 30sec engine run. The competitor with the highest points score is awarded 1000 points and the rest are expressed as a percentage of the winning score.
