A good afternoon at Selsley, a good breeze with some thermal lift. Brian flew his Ventus

Saturday
 West bowl at Selsley provided some smooth, strong lift, with a 10 man turn out!

This is some video taken from my Starlight 2000, there was some thermal activity but the strong wind made it hard to gain height

Sunday 

Sunday afternoon was again on the West bowl but when the big black cloud which provided just a few wet drops, passed by, the wind moved to the tump. Lift was ballistic gusting to 35mpt (Tony’s wind meter).

Just Tony and I flying, braving the gale and inevitable low down turbulence, well worth the outing.

Monday
Slightly strange, with lots of thermal lift but not much on the slope. The paragliders and kiteboarders weren't doing so well, but the big floaty planes really enjoyed it.

Our annual model flying show will be held at Roman Way Model Flying Club, Cowley, Oxford. (bmw factory) on 12th September. Confirmed are Probuild, Steve Carr, Lee Mac, Oxford panic team, Rc Tronics plus local flyers as well. There are also boats, cars,  trains etc.
