The weather
What's happen to our weather? I think the lies and hot air from our politicians has upset the jet stream. Instead of the of the band of fast moving air traveling east we now have this and a nearly static area of high pressure and a NE breeze for which we have no suitable slope

Saturday's jet stream

The jet stream was discovered during the second world war and can reach 400MPH making a big difference to the time it takes to fly the Atlantic

There isn't much standing water either on the track to the field or on the grass track area.

For the next few weeks can you use the right hand gate into the flying area.

Slope/flat field

Tuesday
A mixed session at Selsley, strong thermal lift, the slope lift was poor when the wind went a little East.
Alan's Exit climbed into the bottom of the clouds then developed a range problem with the Spektrum receiver.
Alan Ester's MU13 went well once the wind swung to NNW - photo below and http://www.ebley.plus.com/photo/alan-su13-selsley.jpg

Wednesday
The morning looked good and the early afternoon was OK but as the wind picked up and as the sky went overcast the thermal lift faded to give steady slope lift and making it hard to get any height. Laurie flew his ASW28 and Guy Centiphase. I fitted a GPS in my Pegase but failed to get any significant height, this did confirm that it is slow, only 90MPH in a dive

Photo: notice the cows, they are young and very curious

Thursday

Friday
An afternoon of strong thermal lift spoilt by a cold NE breeze.

Saturday
Sunday
Another NE wind, models flown at Rodborough, Leckhampton and Cam Long Down
