Blackbush airshow

There was a strong southerly wind blowing with  showers, several pilots did not fly .
The car boot style bring 'n'  buy was good, I bought 2 450 watt motors, 2 folding props and 2 sets of under carriages and a Zippy lipo at bargain prices.

Have you thought of a self launching glider?
I gave my Electric Highlight a run on Thursday and Friday  The little brushless turns a 7 X 5 prop at a power of 65 watts and draws under 6 amps from 1500ma lipos. The climb rate is very slow taking about 30secs to reach thermalling height. This would give it about 30 climbs. It takes about 5mins to descend without thermal lift 
This should give flight times of over 2 hours in still air and at under 16oz is a delight to fly, responding well to light lift

Very little wind lots of rain but plenty of  thermal lift between showers 

Friday,  strong lift in the morning before the wind picked up

good lift on SE facing slope at Rodborough, going round to Haresfield after the shower
