SAS
Well I have finally
got round to writing the new SAS Newsletter.
So Whats the news?
Alan and I have finalized the Licencing agreement and
documents have now been signed giving us sole licence to
produce the SAS range of EPP kits.
I have recently picked up templates for the Wildthing
60" and the Wildthing 30"
(Mini Wildthing) and will be producing some of these
kits in the near future.
Also on the cards is electric versions of the Wildthing
and Mamba with a view to producing an FPV racer as this
seems to be a growing sport fueled by the drone racing
community's rapid growth.
The technology is moving forward fast and Fixed Wing FPV
races are already being held around the globe.
We would love your feedback on this, so feel free to

Next week we will be starting to film a series of videos
for the website and Youtube.
First off will be overview of kits to show new customers
exactly what they get for their money, followed by build
videos to accompany the instructions in the kit.
We hope these videos will help people get their models
in the air faster and also give tips on how to set the
model up using computer radio features, how to get the
best performance from the model and some first flight
tips.
We would also like to see your videos and pictures, so
feel free to send them in to us so we can feature them
in this news letter and on the blog.

League or Nationals Reserve 1 - TBC - 26/27th September.
League or Nationals Reserve 2 - TBC - 17/18th October.
If required a possible further date on the 24/25th
October may be flown. This is the weekend the clocks go
back.
To enable as many contests as possible to take place, a
decision will be made on the Friday evening preceding
the contest or reserve date regarding the day (Saturday
or Sunday), or whether the event will run (i.e weather
call). All reserve dates are dependent on sites being
available and enough competitors being able to attend.

Teams
As well as the top three individual trophies there will be a trophy for each member of the winning three man team. You do not have to fly as a team, but if you want to, either include your team details when you enter or get them to the organiser by 1 September.
Entry fee
We need to cover the expenses of land usage, trophies, Eurotour fees and so on. We expect the entry to be £25. You won't need to pay before the event.
The event
Each day you must be at the Bwlch T junction of the A4107 and A4061 (map here) by 9.30. For the first two days the last round in progress will be that running at 17:00; for the final day the last round in progress will that running at 16:00. If the conditions are light or wet and a round started before 17:00 is unlikely to be completely finished that day the Competition Director will consider using group scoring so that we don't lose several hours of competition time. Group scoring will be a last resort and will not be used if at all possible.

Tonbridge club are
hosting their first F5J event at Leigh Park Farm, Nr
Tonbridge, Kent on Sunday 20th September. This is a new
venue for a F5J BMFA league event at what is probably
the best RC Glider Flying field in the South. We will be
running a relaxed and fun competition for both existing
competition flyers and new pilots alike.
