Windows 10 free upgrade; I have applied, waiting for their notification, it will download in the background.I have Windows 8.1 but all the programs I use are 3rd party Freeware like: Gimp, Foxmail, Open office

I downloaded Windows 10 at the weekend. The start menu has come back and the tiles are there next to the start menu. You also have Office on line. It is like they are getting you used to the cloud (that you pay for). They are also trying to get you more into Xbox games as well. Windows 10 is free, but they are trying to get you to pay for things.
My file was 2GB, so you need a decent download speed and it took 1 1/2 hours to install on a dual core PC.

competitions will be on Sunday August 23 starting 10.00
prompt. Venue is the Invicta field at Sutton Valence
will be signposted on the day from the A274 running
south from Sutton Valence. I will not know which field
we can use until the day, so please look for the signs

Kent Interclub members may enter either by posting below
or by notifying their Club Rep. Non Kent Interclub
members are now welcome for these events and entry fee
for them is £5 payable on the field to the CD. Rules are
the BARCS Multilaunch ones BUT no HLGs/DLGs and (for
electric models) the height limiter set to 150 M (not
175).

League 5 - RAF Cranwell - NATIONALS - 30th August ONLY.
League or Nationals Reserve 1 - TBC - 26/27th September.
League or Nationals Reserve 2 - TBC - 17/18th October.
If required a possible further date on the 24/25th
October may be flown. This is the weekend the clocks go
back.
To enable as many contests as possible to take place, a
decision will be made on the Friday evening preceding
the contest or reserve date regarding the day (Saturday
or Sunday), or whether the event will run (i.e weather
call). All reserve dates are dependent on sites being
available and enough competitors being able to attend.

Nearest postcode to the field entrance is CO7 8SN.
Due to the cancellation of several soaring competitions
on Sundays we have made the Saturday a reserve day, not
for the Sunday but for a previously cancelled event. If
the forecast for Sunday 16th August looks poor but
Saturday 15th looks good we may cancel the Sunday event
and go with a comp. on Saturday. Please indicate if you
are able to enter on either day or just one. Sunday will
always take precedence over Saturday as long as the
weather is OK for the Sunday.
To enter, your model must have an approved height
limiting/data logging device set to allow 30 sec motor
run time. The height limiting function must either be
disabled or set to 300m.
Motor restart is permitted at any time during flight,
but it will result in a zero score for that round.

Great conditions on Sunday , a light breeze with plenty of thermals
I rescued a Skywalker X8 from a tree last year and failed to find the owner, I got it in the air on Sunday with the help of John and Steve using Neil's bungee.
