Sukoi SU-30, this has to be one of the most amazing clips I have ever seen. Note the angle of the airflow indicated by the smoke generators. This is "shocky" type flying by a large jet fighter. Thanks to John Stanswood for this link.

I have been on ebay again, this time I bought a tacho, only £4.99 but £11 postage. At first it read twice the speed but I have cured this by cutting one blade off my props. link  or link2
Very easy to use Just point at the prop and push the button.
  • Range:                             2.5 - 99,999 RPM
  • Distance:                       50 to 500 mm
  • Resolution:                        0.1 RPM (2.5 to 999.9 RPM), 1 RPM (>1,000 RPM)
  • Accuracy:                          ± (0.05%+1d)
  • Sampling time:                    0.5 second (over 120 RPM)
  • Range selection:                 Automatic
  • Laser diode output power:  3 mW MAX. class II

I hope to get some use out of this when my eyes recover from looking down the business end

Monday was a great day on Selsley (except for Chris) John Williams flew his 6 metre Nimbus 4 , good lift all day with the wind strong enough to keep the paragliders on the ground.

Photo Chris's Phase6 scores one hundred and eighty, the  reason is not know

Don's BAE Hawk flying at Haresfield Friday afternoon.

Strong lift as usual on this slope, the rain arrived at 4.30 PM

Saturday was nice day at Frocester, not too cold and plenty of lift. the low afternoon sun was a hazard, the lift in the bowl varied

Sunday, good lift with the wind coming straight down the valley, followed  too soon by the rain which persisted down sending everybody home early
