Electric bit

This is the smallest of the Hacker motors fitted to one of my indoor models, it come with a fibreglass depron mounting and built in prop saver.
It prop hangs this 4 oz model drawing 2.5 amps from a 2 cell 450 Ma li-poly spinning a GWS 6 x 3 direct drive prop at 9,000 RPM , full throttle takes it  to 11,000 RPM with a calculated thrust of 6 oz and draws 4 amps.
I tried a 7 x 4 prop but found the 6 inch easier on the small battery.
The RPM per volt is a little high for prop hanging, I am going to change it to a park 250 E-flight rated at 1750 RPM/V

Ratings
2320Kv (RPM/V)
15g (0.55oz)
4A continuous, 6A burst
Recommended prop APC 7x4

CB's bi-plane

Electric control line

Another good indoor session at Gloucester. Mike flew two of his two home brews, CB has mastered a great spin with the power on where the model spins at the same height. I have designed a new model with the same side area as wing, where the side should have the same centre of lift as the main wing, it just needs a bit of fine tuning with a pair of scissors to balance it, as it is tail heavy in KE .
