Report:

The wind was blowing from the South West so we were flying on Frocester Hill. There was just enough lift for PSS models with about 10mph of wind.

The turn out was poor, only 3 members entered.

There were 3 parts to the contest.
 1)
Static judging on how the model looked from a few paces away.
 2)
A dynamic section where the “scale-like” flying of the model was judged.
 3)     A weighting factor which was added depending on the build history of the model.

The weighting was based on how the model was acquired by the current owner. Fitting gear (eg ARTF type models and buying the model ready built by someone else) won 0 points. Building a kit such as a glass fuselage and veneered wing kit won 4 points. A scratch built model would win more points – but as nobody had this type we don't know how many points they might have won.

Mike Brinkworth was the  winner with his Spitfire.
