Report: The competition was held on Minchinhampton Common in very good conditions for a change, this being the first we have managed to run since March, also this was our first electric comp and there was a bit of a learning curve with the motor run times, I think it was just about right by the third and final round. The comp was a simple duration with specified motor run
times to gain height and then try to fly out the 5 minute slot time and land
in the spot within the 5 minute any overfly would loose the spot bonus. If
we run another electric comp next year the motor run times need a bit of
tweaking to allow for the differences between lipo and nicad batteries due
the weight difference, but on saying that I think all enjoyed the comp and
thanks to all who turned up. Brian |
